About This Beta version of Windows: This version of Windows was supposed to be the home version of Windows 2000 professional (that probably why Windows 2000 Professional has the word Professional in it) it was probably be going to called Windows 200 Home Edition like windows Xp Home Edition but for some reason in the middle of the beta period of Windows Neptune they stopped the making it. So then they made Windows Me instead of that. I think thats why they hid MS-DOS because all Windows NT versions of Windows don't use MS-DOS at all so they wanted Windows Me to be like that even though its just like Windows 95 and 98 and it does use Ms-Dos to run. They probably didn't want to have home users using Windows NT technology yet. So they just used all the stuff from Windows Neptune to make Windows Xp. Also Windows Xp Home Edition and Professional both use Windows NT technology so now there is no more new 9x technology versions of windows (like in Windows 95, 98 and Me) being made. If Windows Neptune was a realeased verson of Windows, then Windows Me would have never been made.

	The Windows Neptune welcome screen was the beta version of the Windows Xp Welcome screen so this is technically the first Windows with a welcome screen like this.
